President Biden has accused the US Supreme Courtroom of dealing a “devastating blow” towards efforts to deal with the local weather disaster.

In a landmark ruling the courtroom mentioned the federal authorities in Washington doesn’t have powers to control greenhouse fuel emissions of US energy crops. It implies that coverage could be determined by particular person US states.

The case towards the US Environmental Safety Company was introduced by West Virginia on behalf of 18 different largely Republican-led states and a number of the nation’s largest coal firms.

In a 6-3 ruling, the courtroom sided with the conservative states and fossil-fuel firms.

Jane Hill presents BBC Information at Ten reporting by North America editor Sarah Smith.
