The Home Choose Committee investigating January 6 heard testimony from a former Twitter worker who says they begged the social media platform to do one thing about potential violence related to former President Dondald Trump’s election lies.
Twitter spokesperson Jessica Herrera-Flanigan responded, “Main as much as and following the election, we deployed quite a few coverage and product interventions to guard the general public dialog. We declared the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers violent extremist teams in 2018 and 2020 respectively, and completely suspended accounts related to the organizations underneath our violent organizations coverage, in addition to most of the organizers of the assault for violations of our insurance policies.” #CNN #Information
