A gunman who killed 17 folks at his former highschool has gone on trial in Florida, with jurors set to resolve whether or not he faces the loss of life penalty or life in jail.
Nikolas Cruz, 23, pleaded responsible final 12 months to 17 counts of first-degree homicide over the 2018 Parkland capturing.
As prosecutors search the loss of life penalty, defence legal professionals are pushing for all times in jail with out parole.
The trial is anticipated to final 4 to 6 months and shall be televised.
