Russian warship sinks within the Black Sea after Ukraine claims it was hit by a missile

(CNN) One of many Russian Navy’s most essential warships has sunk within the Black Sea, an enormous blow to a navy struggling in opposition to Ukrainian resistance 50 days into Vladimir Putin’s invasion of his neighbor.
Russian state information company TASS reported Thursday night that the guided-missile cruiser Moskva had sunk, citing a press release from the Russian Ministry of Protection.
“Throughout the towing of the cruiser Moskva to the port of vacation spot, the ship misplaced its stability resulting from hull injury obtained throughout a hearth from the detonation of ammunition. Within the circumstances of stormy seas, the ship sank,” the assertion mentioned, based on TASS.
Conflicting accounts have emerged concerning the incident.
