North Korea launched a recent wave of “trash balloons” towards its southern neighbors Wednesday night time, in line with native media.
South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported that the North launched greater than 160 balloons carrying trash throughout its southern border.
The report cited South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Employees (JCS) which stated it found dozens of “trash bundles” containing paper, plastic bottles, and different family rubbish in elements of Gyeonggi Province, which surrounds the capital of Seoul.
Earlier this month, the JCS stated it had detected around 420 balloons that the North had allegedly launched into South Korea.
The trash bundle is the most recent tit-for-tat between the 2 Koreas, which have been participating in Chilly Conflict-style ways since earlier this 12 months, with the North having flown thousands of balloons towards the South, stuffed with wastepaper, fabric scraps, cigarette butts and even manure.

North Korea says the balloons are in retaliation in opposition to South Korean civilian activists who fly anti-North Korean propaganda leaflets throughout the border.
Trash carried by at the least one North Korean balloon fell on the South Korean presidential compound in July, elevating issues concerning the vulnerability of key South Korean services. Officers stated the balloon contained no harmful supplies and that nobody was damage.
