Earlier than reopening Bourbon Road on Thursday, New Orleans police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick unhappy native spiritual leaders and town’s mayor paid respect to the victims of Wednesday’s assault with 14 roses and a prayer. “After which in our tradition, right here in New Orleans, is music, and the band got here … and so they performed, ‘Fly Away,’ and with respect, we walked down this avenue to point out honor and respect,” the superintendent stated.
