Niger army chief says it is going to prosecute President Bazoum for ‘excessive treason’.
Niger’s army council says the deposed president may also be prosecuted for undermining nationwide safety.
The assertion – which was broadcast on nationwide tv, detailed a number of expenses in opposition to Bazoum.
Bazoum was deposed and arrested after the army took energy by pressure.
Niger’s army leaders have rejected diplomatic efforts by ECOWAS, the AU & UN since seizing energy on July 26.
