Navy leaders of the coup in Niger have refused to obtain representatives from the United Nations, the African Union – and the regional organisation, ECOWAS.
The coup leaders stated their security couldn’t be assured.
US Appearing Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland flew to Niamey on Monday however was denied permission to satisfy with coup chief Abdourahamane Tiani or with Bazoum, who’s in detention.
As an alternative, she spoke for 2 hours with different military officers.
