    US lawyer says Baraka ‘dedicated trespass’ throughout protest of facility, which he argues opened with out correct permits.

    Rights teams and Democratic officers have decried the arrest of the mayor of Newark, New Jersey, throughout a protest at an immigration detention centre.

    Mayor Ras Baraka had joined a number of lawmakers on the detention centre, known as Delaney Corridor, for an indication on Friday.

    For weeks, he has been amongst these protesting the not too long ago opened 1,000-bed centre, which critics see as a key hyperlink in President Donald Trump’s mass deportation efforts.
