A 30-year-old Brit has died in police custody at an airport in Malaysia, his household say.
Callum Luxton was travelling by Kuala Lumpur Worldwide Airport to Phuket, Thailand when he handed away final Saturday.
Native cops say Callum, from Rochdale, had been detained after which “misplaced consciousness through the documentation strategy of this arrest.”
Callum’s household has been left heartbroken and with out solutions, the Manchester Evening News reported.
His dad Roy mentioned: “It’s simply an absolute nightmare and we’re getting no solutions. We have no idea something and now we have now acquired to get him again residence.
“No one is telling us something. We have no idea how he has gone. You’d say you have been protected in an airport, clearly not.”
Roy mentioned Callum’s household had no thought what’s going on and his telephone had additionally gone lacking.
“We simply need to know the way he has died… it’s ridiculous.”
The household have been knowledgeable by a police officer who knocked on their door on Monday evening.
The cop advised the household an incident had occurred when Callum’s bag had gone lacking.
The New Straits Instances quoted Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan who confirmed Callum died whereas in custody.
Khan mentioned Callum was arrested for mischief and property injury, voluntarily inflicting damage, and obstructing a public servant.
Khan mentioned: “Round 1.30pm, police arrested the suspect, who was travelling from the UK to Phuket, Thailand, with a transit cease at KLIA Terminal 1. He had behaved aggressively and disrupted the peace there.
