The enterprise arm of the MLBPA has reached a non-exclusive licensing settlement with Penn Leisure, making ESPN Wager (U.S.) and theScore Wager (Canada) formally licensed sportsbooks of MLB Gamers, Inc.
OneTeam, MLBPA’s business associate, facilitated the deal.
The pact follows an October 2024 non-exclusive agreement that made Fanatics the primary formally licensed sportsbook of MLB Gamers, Inc.
In September, the union filed a lawsuit against FanDuel, DraftKings, bet365 and Underdog Fantasy, alleging that the sports activities betting and every day fantasy corporations used participant photographs with out having a licensing settlement.
FanDuel settled with the MLBPA in November, because the events reached a confidential licensing agreement. In March, a Pennsylvania federal choose rejected DraftKings’ movement to dismiss the NIL swimsuit.
