BRAINERD — The Pals of the Brainerd Public Library introduced the Summer season 2025 Brown Bag Lunch Creator Sequence, with eight Minnesota authors discussing their works within the Massive Assembly Room of the Brainerd Public Library on Mondays in June and July.
From noon-1 p.m. June 2 Minnesota creator Marcie Rendon will focus on her newest novel in her Money Blackbear thriller sequence, “Damaged Fields,” on the Brainerd Public Library.

The story takes place in Minnesota within the Seventies: It’s spring within the Pink River Valley and Money Blackbear is doing fieldwork for an area farmer — till she finds him lifeless on the kitchen ground of the property’s rented farmhouse.
