ROCKFORD, In poor health. (WIFR) – Halfway Village Museum took the group again to the 1800s for a reside re-enactment of what life was like through the Civil Battle.
Interpreters tried to recruit for the union military and a reside march and drill with troopers.
“I hope they arrive away with a greater understanding of that point interval and the sacrifices folks needed to make for the struggle effort,” stated interpreter David Eisele. “Regardless that we’re in northern Illinois, these younger males will find yourself going to the southern states.”
An enormous takeaway from the occasion is Camp Fuller. This was named after Common Allen Fuller, who was a Belvidere resident on the time of the struggle. The camp was used for six months throughout 1862 and skilled 4 army models.
