Residents of Los Angeles have fashioned a volunteer group to help firefighting efforts of their group.
These native artists and tradespeople — generally known as the ‘Warmth Hawks’ — are serving to safe properties and help evacuees affected by the blazes.
They have been specializing in duties like shutting off propane tanks in high-risk areas.
The volunteers say they had been spurred into motion when the fires threatened their neighborhood of Topanga Canyon, serving to rescue pets and salvage belongings from properties.
