Financial institution of Korea Governor Rhee Chang-yong discusses the market response following the temporary decree of martial regulation by President Yoon Suk Yeol late Tuesday. Talking to Bloomberg’s Haslinda Amin, he says it is unlikely the central financial institution will lower rates of interest regardless of the political chaos. He additionally expresses confidence within the authorities’s capability to deal with the disaster and says geopolitical tensions and international commerce uncertainties are a much bigger concern.
