LIVE: Mexico’s Navy on Show in Independence Day Parade Celebrations
Mexico marked its independence festivities with a army parade downtown Mexico Metropolis on Monday (September 16) presided over for the final time in his time period by President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Members of the Armed Forces and heavy equipment and weaponry had been placed on show in a 3-hour-long parade in Zocalo sq. underneath the watch of Lopez Obrador and president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, who can be sworn in to the publish on October 1. The top of the Navy, Jose Rafael Ojeda, addressed their future commander-in-chief saying Mexicans are prepared for the primary feminine head of state. The parade ended with the army band taking part in the standard music “Mexico lindo y querido” (“Stunning and beloved Mexico”) to bid a farewell to Lopez Obrador, native media reported.
