To the editor: Sen. Cory Booker is amazingly courageous and bodily robust to face and communicate for over 25 hours within the Senate (“Sen. Cory Booker sets record with marathon Senate speech opposing Trump’s agenda,” April 1). The New Jersey Democrat spoke up for all Individuals who worth our shared democratic historical past and the weather that make our each day dwelling worthwhile: public well being departments, medical analysis, clear air and water, climate reviews, air journey, reproductive well being, medical insurance, civil rights safety, voter rights, respect for our allies and never pandering to dictators, to call a couple of! Thanks, senator. Allow us to rally to guard the weather of our common lives which have made our nation nice!

To the editor: Booker ought to have been on the entrance web page, above the fold. He broke then-Sen. Strom Thurmond’s 1957 report for a filibuster. Bravo, Booker, for attempting to get up the Republicans and attempting to save lots of our democracy.

To the editor: What Booker did is past extraordinary. It’s a displaying of braveness, integrity and management that has been sorely missing from our elected leaders. He’s talking fact to energy, standing as much as a bully, and reminding the American folks that’s us who finally maintain the ability to find out our authorities. He has requested America to assist him take again our nation from a delusional demagogue, and now it’s as much as us to reply. Thanks, Sen. Booker, on your extremely principled stand in protection of the rule of legislation, our Structure and our lifestyle.

To the editor: It’s about time segregationist Thurmond’s report is erased. For all his rants in opposition to President Trump and Republican insurance policies thus far, Booker provided no alternate options. Akin to the Democrats’ failed 2024 presidential marketing campaign technique, it was “cease Trump” with no competing usable insurance policies. How will Booker trim the federal price range deficit by a trillion {dollars}? Or is he saying, “Enterprise as traditional. Let our kids and grandchildren pay for the nation going bankrupt”? For all his phrases, the picture I see is Don Quixote tilting at windmills. Booker provided a lot of criticism, however nothing constructive.
