Hifumi Kato, affectionately often known as ‘Hifumin,’ has been formally acknowledged by Guinness World Information for the longest-running chess puzzle column in {a magazine}.
Kato defined the key to his long-running collection: “I beloved creating chess puzzles, and I had the power to take action.”
The ninth-dan skilled started his column in a month-to-month journal in 1959. Over the previous 65 years, he has continued the collection, setting the document for the longest period of board sport puzzle contributions by a single writer in the identical publication.
Though Kato retired from skilled chess years in the past, his ardour for the sport stays undiminished.
When requested if he thought this document may ever be damaged, Kato confidently replied, “I don’t assume so. I’m decided to proceed extending this document additional.”
