Tuesdays at Jones Faculty in Ellisville, Mississippi simply obtained an entire lot trendier because of the eating workforce’s new Trending Tuesdays initiative.
Spearheaded by Chef Chia “Andy” Wu, this system serves college students widespread social media recipes at each Tuesday final month on the Exhibition Station contained in the eating corridor.
One of many first recipes featured was a Baked Feta Pasta that went viral on TikTok. “As quickly as college students noticed it, they had been excited to strive it,” stated Wu in an announcement. “The hype round it actually set the tone for the remainder of the month.”
Different featured dishes embody Fried Boudin Balls, Flamin’ Sizzling Cheeto Mac & Cheese Bites and Fried Hen Lollipops.
“The vitality on the station every week has been unbelievable—some college students come up already figuring out the recipes, whereas others try them for the primary time,” Wu added. “Seeing their reactions, particularly to issues like boudin or the fried hen lollipops, has been the very best half.”
TikTok and different social media platforms are becoming a source of recipe inspiration for both onsite and commercial operators.
Alongside utilizing social media for recipe inspiration, some operators have also used it to reach wider audiences and help train staff.
