‘It’s madness to do this’: Former USAID admin. slams cuts to staff

The U.S. Company of Worldwide Improvement is predicted to be decreased to about 290 staff from the greater than 5,000 overseas service officers, civil servants and private service contractors it presently employs, in response to two sources aware of the plans.
