The US authorities has introduced costs towards an Iranian man in reference to an alleged plot to assassinate Donald Trump earlier than he was elected the following president.
The Division of Justice on Friday unsealed an indictment towards Farhad Shakeri, 51, alleging he was tasked with “offering a plan” to kill Trump.
The US authorities mentioned Mr Shakeri has not been arrested and is believed to be in Iran.
In a legal grievance filed in Manhattan courtroom, prosecutors allege that an official in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard directed Mr Shakeri in September to plan a plan to surveil and kill Trump.
