India is among the world’s greatest polluters, burning huge quantities of coal to generate electrical energy.
However Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to chop emissions to internet zero by 2070.
The federal government is investing in renewable power sources, particularly solar energy, with the Ministry of New and Renewable Power saying India has greater than 60,000MW of photo voltaic capability.
