India Experiences a Rise in Tree & Forest Cowl | Subscribe to Firstpost

India has reported a acquire in its tree cowl and forest cowl. In keeping with the biennial India State of Forest Report (ISFR 2023), India gained 156 sq. kilometres in forest cowl whereas tree cowl prolonged by 1,289 sq. kilometres since 2021. Tree patches smaller than one-hectare account for tree cowl. The report was launched by Surroundings Minister Bhupender Yadav. India’s tree cowl now extends over 3.41%, whereas forest cowl stands at 21.76%, comprising 112,014 sq. kilometres of land.
