India: Delhi Engulfed in Poisonous Smog, AQI Nears 1,000 Mark to achieve “Extreme Plus” Class
In India, Delhi and the Nationwide Capital Area (NCR) are shrouded in a thick poisonous smog, with air high quality plummeting to the “extreme plus” class in some areas on November 18. Visibility dropped to 100 meters, disrupting day by day life and reportedly inflicting some flight diversions. The air high quality index (AQI) neared 1,000 in elements of Delhi, prompting the Delhi authorities to impose Stage 4 of the Graded Response Motion Plan (GRAP).
