WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) – A whole bunch of workers at Hy-Vee meals preparation amenities throughout the state will work their final shift Tuesday.
In April, Hy-Vee introduced the closure of two main meals preparation amenities, impacting 461 workers.
A regional bakery in Cedar Rapids additionally introduced its closure.
60 employees have been employed on the bakery. Senior Vice President of Communications, Tina Potthoff, informed TV9 that each one the employees on the Cedar Rapids facility have been positioned elsewhere.
The 2 different amenities impacted by the closures are situated in Ankeny and Chariton.
Hy-Vee made the choice to shut the amenities after conducting evaluations of the merchandise made there. Manufacturing will now be moved again to native shops.
