We observe Ghassan el-Shouly, a younger man residing in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, as he prepares to commemorate the seventy fifth anniversary of the Nakba – the day when 750,000 Palestinians have been uprooted from their land and hundreds have been killed as Israel was created in 1948.
Yearly, Ghassan and his household attend an annual march in the direction of the Israeli-Lebanese border – however with the Gaza Strip bombed once more just lately by Israeli forces, this 12 months’s commemoration presents better safety considerations for Palestinians in Lebanese camps.
