When former FIFA president Sepp Blatter introduced Qatar’s victory in 2010, there was widespread scepticism about how precisely this tiny desert state, with no World Cup expertise and scorching summer season temperatures, had received.

Allegations of corruption, vote-swapping, and hyperlinks to commerce offers on the highest ranges of presidency have at all times been denied by organisers and stay unproven.

However there isn’t any denying the build-up to this match has been particularly troubled.
