Disgraced bike owner Lance Armstrong’s doping was reported on by journalist David Walsh for greater than 12 years.
On the time, the champion bike owner strongly denied the claims and Mr Walsh and The Sunday Occasions even confronted being sued for libel.
It wasn’t till 2013 that Armstrong lastly admitted he did use efficiency enhancing medication and promised TV presenter Oprah that he would apologise to David.
Armstrong was stripped of the seven Tour titles he received from 1999-2005 after admitting to doping following the years of denials.
