    Hong Kong’s Peak Tram, one of many metropolis’s hottest vacationer sights, has reopened with a brand new take care of a year-long closure.

    The funicular, the oldest in Asia, dates again to 1888 and beforehand drew over six million guests yearly earlier than Covid-19 struck.

    The service welcomed again passengers on Saturday – at the same time as tight coronavirus guidelines stay in place within the metropolis.

    It has undergone a $799m HKD (£87m) facelift since closing in June 2021.
