Nations have reached a historic settlement to guard the world’s oceans following 10 years of negotiations.
The Excessive Seas Treaty locations 30% of the seas into protected areas by 2030, aiming to safeguard and recuperate marine nature.
The settlement was reached on Saturday night, after 38 hours of talks, on the UN headquarters in New York.
