Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko introduced on Wednesday a nationwide tour of universities, geared toward completely reforming larger training and aligning coaching with the wants of the Nationwide Transformation Agenda.
In keeping with the press launch from the Council of Ministers, this tour might be adopted by a strategic debriefing with operational suggestions and a follow-up plan, as a way to guarantee a greater match between coaching, employment and financial growth.
Lamenting the structural mismatch between the training system and the wants of the economic system, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Nationwide Schooling to revise the mechanisms for guiding and selling science-related fields of research, and the Ministry of Larger Schooling to restructure its coaching applications as a way to improve the proportion of scholars enrolled in technical fields from 2.07% to fifteen% inside 5 years. The preparatory lessons for the Grandes Écoles (CPGE) may even be strengthened.
