A “high-altitude object” was shot down over Alaska earlier on Friday, the White Home has mentioned.
Spokesman John Kirby mentioned the unmanned object was “the scale of a small automobile” and was over a sparsely populated space on the time.
President Joe Biden took the choice to shoot down the article, which was of unknown origin, Mr Kirby mentioned.
It comes after the US shot down a Chinese language balloon over its territorial waters final Saturday.
