To the editor: Michael Schneider’s argument against freeway widening in L.A. County on climate change grounds misses a bigger level.
Whether or not or not California meets its local weather targets is not going to make a penny’s value of distinction to the local weather. California has been “battling” world warming for a few technology and has nothing to point out for it besides document warmth and document fireplace. California’s obsession with local weather change has produced no profit and has not performed squat for the local weather.
It’s time to acknowledge California’s “struggle” on local weather change as what it’s — a struggle on the center class.
