SEOUL, South Korea — Han Jong-Hee, a senior Samsung Electronics government credited with elevating the corporate’s tv enterprise, died Tuesday, the corporate stated. He was 63.
Han, a co-chief government who oversaw the corporate’s shopper electronics and cell gadgets companies, died at a hospital after being handled for cardiac arrest, Samsung stated.
Han joined Samsung in 1988 and spent most of his profession in TV-related divisions, throughout which the corporate turned the world’s main TV producer. He was appointed co-vice chairman and CEO in 2022.
Samsung, one of many world’s largest know-how corporations, has twin strengths in parts and completed shopper merchandise. It has separate CEOs for main enterprise divisions, together with semiconductors, all beneath the broader management of third-generation company inheritor and chairman Lee Jae-yong.
It wasn’t instantly clear who would step in as Han’s successor.
