Palestinian Islamist group Hamas is ready for a complete ceasefire settlement with Israel, in line with an announcement on Saturday.
“We do not need a partial settlement, however a complete settlement that ends the battle,” a Hamas official advised Palestinian journalists.
As a part of such an settlement, the Islamists would launch all Israeli hostages in trade for Palestinian prisoners in Israel, he added.
Earlier on Saturday, a delegation of senior Hamas figures reached Cairo for talks with Egyptian mediators.
Egypt, Qatar and the US are performing as mediators within the oblique talks between Israel and Hamas, which have been at a standstill for weeks.
A ceasefire that got here into power in January collapsed after two months.
