Separatist fighters say they’ve attacked and seized a practice in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, taking a whole bunch of individuals hostage.
Railway sources confirmed to Al Jazeera that greater than 400 passengers had been on board the 9 coaches of the Jaffar Categorical when it was attacked close to Mashkaf on Tuesday whereas travelling from the provincial capital of Quetta to the northern metropolis of Peshawar.
The Balochistan Liberation Military (BLA) separatist group claimed duty for the assault, saying in an announcement that six navy personnel had been killed. It added that safety personnel had been amongst these taken hostage and warned of retaliation if safety forces carried out an operation.
They warn that any navy intervention by Pakistani safety forces will end in all hostages being executed. Not less than six troopers had been killed resisting the operation.
