French Overseas Minister Jean-Noel Barrot and his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock have visited Syria’s capital, Damascus, to push for a peaceable political transition. Barrot and Baerbock are the primary EU ministers to fulfill Syria’s new leaders and go to the infamous Sednaya jail since President Bashar al-Assad’s ouster.
