Georgia’s ruling social gathering has opened the primary session of parliament after disputed elections and a boycott by the opposition.
Tensions escalated after the governing Georgian Dream social gathering was re-elected within the October 26 elections with nearly 54 % of the vote, based on official outcomes.
Professional-Western opposition events known as the outcomes “illegitimate” and refused to take their seats within the new parliament.
On Monday, Georgian Dream politicians entered parliament and opened the brand new legislative session with no opposition lawmakers current.
Outdoors the parliament constructing, protesters who had pitched tents since Sunday night time shouted “Russians” and “slaves” at arriving deputies.
