Kalaburagi: In a determined bid to interrupt free from alcohol dependancy, 4 individuals turned to an area healer’s “natural drugs” — a call that allegedly value them their lives.
The incident occurred at Imadapur village in Sedam taluk. The deceased have been recognized as Laxmi Narasimhalu Batagera (55) of Buragapalli, Nagesh Bheemashappa (22) of Madakal, Ganesh Rathod (30) of Dakka Thanda close to Shahabad, and Manohar Rathod (35) of Bhimanalli Thanda in Chittapur taluk. They allegedly died after consuming the concoction on Wednesday.
Police informed Deccan Chronicle that 5 individuals had come for remedy on Wednesday. Whereas Laxmi and her son had arrived from Buragapalli, the others had come from different villages. That they had sought drugs from Fakirappa for alcohol dependancy. Fakirappa is alleged to have offered them with the medication, and shortly after consuming the natural preparation, all 5 fell ailing and had been rushed to the hospital. 4 of them died, whereas Laxmi’s son, Ningappa, is present process remedy on the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS).
Fakirappa, who has been offering such “conventional medicines” for 5 to 6 years and claims to return from a household of healers, has been arrested, police stated.
