Kozo Iizuka, a former senior official convicted in a 2019 automobile crash in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, that killed two individuals and injured 9 others, has died on the age of 93. Iizuka handed away in October, reportedly attributable to pure causes.
The crash occurred in April 2019 when a automobile pushed by Iizuka went uncontrolled, killing a mom and her younger daughter and inflicting accidents starting from minor to severe for 9 others. Iizuka was discovered responsible of negligence leading to demise and damage, as he was deemed to have mistaken the accelerator for the brake. Following his conviction, Iizuka was sentenced to 5 years in jail and had been serving his sentence.
