A former secretary who labored for the commander of a Nazi focus camp has been convicted of complicity within the murders of greater than 10,505 individuals.
Irmgard Furchner, 97, was taken on as a teenaged typist at Stutthof and labored there from 1943 to 1945.
Furchner, one of many few girls to be tried for Nazi crimes in many years, was given a two-year suspended jail time period.
Though she was a civilian employee, the decide agreed she was totally conscious of what was happening on the camp.
Some 65,000 persons are thought to have died in horrendous situations at Stutthof, together with Jewish prisoners, non-Jewish Poles and captured Soviet troopers.
