The ending of Patch 7.3’s principal story noticed the return of the black-cloaked Ascians to the primary story of Final Fantasy 14 following a prolonged absence.
Briefly, the Ascians are the surviving members of a race merely often known as the Ancients, the progenitor civilization of Final Fantasy 14‘s main setting of Etheirys. The Ascians, often known as the Convocation of Fourteen, have been enemies of Hydaelyn and her chosen champions and swore allegiance to the Elder Primal known as Zodiark. Throughout Endwalker, each Zodiark and Hydaelyn have been defeated by the Warrior of Mild and their allies, and the Ascians’ mission to return the world of Etheirys to its unique state was thwarted for good. Of the fourteen Convocation members, over half have been handled by the Warrior of Mild all through the story.
