One of many final alleged masterminds of the 1994 Rwandan genocide has gone on trial at a UN tribunal in The Hague.
Prosecutors say Félicien Kabuga aided and abetted hit squads within the slaughter of ethnic Tutsis, and used a radio station to incite hatred in opposition to them.
Mr Kabuga’s attorneys have filed a not responsible plea for him however he has refused to attend the opening of the trial.
Some 800,000 Tutsis and reasonable Hutus have been killed within the genocide.
