    The Central Board of Oblique Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has warned taxpayers towards fraudulent GST violation notices, that are being issued with the official brand and DIN quantity, the Finance Ministry mentioned in an announcement on Friday.

    The CBIC has confirmed that some fraudsters are creating and sending faux notices to taxpayers, who might or might not be underneath investigation by the Directorate Normal of GST Intelligence (DGGI).

    The Ministry mentioned that the fraudsters used the division’s brand and DIN quantity, which resembles the unique violation discover. Due to this fact, it has cautioned towards such notices.

    “It has been not too long ago noticed that some people with fraudulent intent are creating and sending faux summons to the taxpayers who might or might not be underneath investigation by the Directorate Normal of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Central Board of Oblique Taxes and Customs (CBIC),” the Finance Ministry mentioned.
