F1 has opted to increase the opening day of pre-season testing from Bahrain following an influence outage on the monitor within the afternoon.
The second session of the day was disrupted for 68 minutes as race management was pressured to deploy a purple flag when the monitor was thrown into darkness.
The circuit confirmed the explanation was on account of an exterior substation failure.
“At roughly 5PM at the moment, an influence outage attributable to an exterior substation failure led to the afternoon session on monitor to be paused,” learn a press release.
“Energy has since been restored and the afternoon session has resumed. We recognize everybody’s endurance.”
