As a part of the Eurovision Competition ‘EuroFest’, Liverpool Metropolis council have funded 25 artwork tasks as collaborations between the UK and Ukraine. One of many tasks is the premiere of a brand new play referred to as ‘Maria’ that charts the life of 1 Ukrainian girl from delivery to dying in the course of the Holodomor, a soviet-caused famine within the Nineteen Thirties.
The play is written by distinguished Ukrainian director Yurii Radionov, and the forged are all Ukrainian refugees who’ve arrived within the UK in final yr.
