The European Union says it is able to present Tunisia with greater than $1.7bn to assist its struggling economic system if it agrees to a sequence of measures.
It desires to fight unlawful migration throughout the Mediterranean.
Together with von der Leyen, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had been in Tunisia on Sunday for talks with the nation’s President Kais Saied.
