A photograph exhibition commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the bloodbath dedicated by the Ethiopian colonial regimes in Asmara and its surrounding areas was formally opened at present. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Fesehaye Haile, Governor of the Central Area.
Staged in entrance of the Asmara Municipality workplace, the exhibition options 50 pictures, partial lists of the victims’ names, and documentary movies highlighting the tragic occasion.
Mr. Ghidey Gebremicael, one of many exhibition’s coordinators, acknowledged that the supplies on show had been sourced from the archives of the Eritrean Police.
In tribute to the victims of the bloodbath, Mr. Fesehaye Haile, Governor of the area, Mr. Yosuf Saiq, Head of PFDJ Organizational Affairs, and Mr. Zerit Tewoldebrhan, Managing Director of the area, laid wreaths.
The exhibition will stay open to the general public till Sunday, 16 February.
