To the editor: Based on stories, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is reviewing her options about removing the not too long ago indicted Eric Adams from workplace as mayor of New York Metropolis. As in all such circumstances, the innocence of the accused till confirmed responsible is rightly quoted as a protection.
However there are different points on this case.
Adams, a Democrat, has taken a web page from former President Trump’s harmful playbook and claimed he’s a sufferer of an unlawful prosecution that’s political in nature. It’s precisely that fixed repetition of vacuous lies that has led hundreds of thousands of Individuals to mistrust their authorities and resulted in our present state of civil unrest.
For that cause, Hochul ought to take away Adams from workplace. No matter his innocence or guilt, Adams has confirmed he shares Trump’s self-serving disdain for the reality, the legislation and the Structure that each he and Trump swore to assist.
