Vladimir Putin says Russia is open to negotiations to revive the Black Sea deal for Ukrainian grain exports.
The Russian chief has welcomed the Turkish president for talks within the Russian resort of Sochi.
Russia pulled out of a UN-brokered deal in July which assured the protection of ships carrying Ukrainian grain within the Black Sea.
The talks comply with a Russian drone assault on the port of Odesa.
